An Announcement!!

Good morning all ,
I’m writing this morning with an big announcement. I regret to inform you that Lisa needs some time off. A few weeks ago I played demolition derby in my studio . My studio is now being moved to a different room. Things need to be painted and moved and all of the above. Unfortunately all of my supplies are not in order by any meens. While moving everything I thought that it would be a wonderful time to really pick up everything in my life so that someday I can do nothing but “live easy”. I want to concentrate fully on my business and my etsy sight but my life just isn’t letting me right now. I have so many other things I want to do first . So im taking some time off to go head first into the summer. I have things on my bucket list that need to get done. Why not take the few months that are being most un-inspirational for me .I hope to come back with enough inspiration to start a world win of designs, a fully organized and redone studio, an office for my new computer, and the internet (dream big). It’s becoming way too hard to run a successful business without these things.

If you have already ordered with me .. it will get done . If you have a new order please email me. I will not tell you no by any meens. This just meens I will not be making anything new on my own until winter time. The wedding line will be continued.. a purse line will be coming soon also,an etsy sight, I will be updating my website all though I believe its in a happy spot right now annually.

Thank you all for your support..I highly appreciate it !!

A Sash On The New Year

My crazy wedding October has now ended with many smiles and happy customers. I’m so thankful for the way everything turned out .Now that time has passed a few new things had came up around me that are exciting. My favorite purple haired bride Rachel is now expecting a baby . I am so entirely excited for her and Matt to have a new part of their wonderful family. I already know that they will be wonderful parents.

At work two of my friends and coworkers are now newly engaged and planning there weddings. It is so much fun hearing their ideas and expectations for their weddings. Getting married is truly magical and its always heartwarming seeing people who are willing to dedicate their lives to their significant other. It seems as if everyone around me is getting engaged lately . I must be at that age J.

Now that the holidays have passed and the new year is here it’s time to get this business starting again. I decided because of all of the inspiration around me to start with making more wedding pieces. As you all know even though I am not engaged I am always making myself up to date with all of the wedding trends. I’m always reading blogs like Ruffled and The Off Beat Bride. It seems as if the new fad with weddings is anything vintage. The cap sleeves and lace everything for wedding dresses. For wedding dresses people are choosing different colors than white ex: an ashy pink, a light grey, or a rustic off white. The wedding collections are getting more creative with asymmetrical busts , silk flowers, feathers, and a lot of lace.

One thing that I have noticed is the beautiful sashes offered for brides and bridesmaids. They are gorgeous! What a great way to put in a pop of color or pizzazz in with your plain dress. In October I attended my cousin Leah ‘s wedding. She incorporated her color red into all of the bridesmaids dresses (which were black ) with a beautiful red sash. It made her bridesmaids look very sharp and classy. I wanted to somehow be able to incorporate my fabric flowers in a new way . I think I might have found it . I am now looking into making sashes also !

Too start working on my sashes I have been working on my sowing. Instead of gluing on beads ( which I believe is a little messy looking ) I want to be able to sow seed beads into a pattern . I was always told the more time you take , the better it will look. In the past , I have made a bib necklace with my sowed on seed beads that I loved. It was a lot of work but it came out beautifully. I wonder if I made a hole sash with the seed beads how it might look. The best way to look into this … is the internet: Here are some of my favorite wedding sashes…

catch ya later :)
